This past week I was offered several thousand yards of a 40 denier coated ripstop nylon that was originally slated for use for military rain ponchos. I purchased the entire available yardage so I could make rain ponchos.

The cost for these ponchos is $32.50 each delivered to your door. But, if anyone wants to buy them that are plural, you will not be restricted to buying only one with other items being purchased.So, with the purchase of any sleeping bag or jacket the cost is only $22.50 each. At this time the poncho is available for ordering as a single item.

It comes with its own stuff sack. Each side of the poncho has two sets of snaps.

They are on the web site at this time for ordering at a price of $32.50 each. As soon as I have the material in stock next week I’ll have them on the web site at the $22.50 price when other items are purchased.

The total weight of the poncho with its stuff sack is 13.4 ounces.

I will also make a side zippered rain chap using the same pattern as the leg jackets.

When I make the first pair I’ll have a cost, take a photo and add it to the web site.
