BOOT AND OTHER PRODUCT TESTIMONIAL

Yesterday I received the Lamilite boots I ordered from you last week. You advertised the boots as ‘seconds’ or ‘blems.’ Really? I looked on my boots and couldn’t see anything that looked like a blemish. I’m not complaining! I’m looking forward to trying the tension laces as well. Thanks.

I probably could have sold these boots as first quality because I really could not find much to call them seconds, but that is what they manufacturer sold them as seconds, so do I.

I have learned that keeping your feet dry is essential (keeping dry when outdoors is essential, period). Earlier in life I spent a LOT of time outdoors, doing farm work, manual labor, surveying, mountaineering and hunting. I would do various things to treat my boots and keep them waterproofed. I now have your Lamilite boots. What treatment do you suggest for the boots? I’m not worried about keeping the water out; I want to keep the leather in good shape. I have used mink oil, NikWax, and a host of other treatments, but I’d like to hear what you think is best for the Lamilite boots.

I use mink oil and polish.

One of the testimonials you published today from Fred talks about replacing garments and bags with Lamilite-insulated garments and bags. I’m doing the same thing. Your gear works as you say it does. I’ve been buying outdoor gear for over 45 years now and tried all kinds of stuff from all kinds of manufacturers. Your gear works as you say it does, other manufacturers, not so much. And the comforter is truly fantastic!

Unless I am misinformed I have never read testimonials publicized by any other company in the industry. I read on various web sites people recommending this brand of sleeping bag or that one but do these same people take the time to write the company about the performance of the bag? I doubt it since not one of the other companies out there has anything to publicize.

Do any companies that sell fiberfill for insulation purposes receive letters about the performance of their insulation as I do?

I have been receiving comments about the performance of the DUCKSBACK material that are positive. Do any of the companies using goretex or gore ever get positive comments about garments made with goretex that they can publish, no.

Do any of the boot companies receive the number of positive comments that I receive about my boots, not a one.

I believe these companies have grown so large they simply do not care if their product is liked, performs, etc. which is unfortunate. These companies are run by marketing focused types who would be lost in any production facility making what they sell. That seems to be the trend in industry in the USA. It is also the reason that manufacturing in the textile business is destined not to return to the USA. It is unfortunate because if I had the need for larger production than I am capable of I could find a number of contractors right here in the USA that are capable of making my products, so if the need arises rest assured I will not be going to Asia.
