WELCOME SPRING AND SUMMER
I know it is only January and quite cold at this moment, but spring and summer will be following soon.
These past two weeks have been very productive for Wiggy’s on the supply side. I have secured 22,000 yards of domestic 70 denier nylon taffeta pure finish [no chemicals added] in the color black and royal blue. Why I am telling you this because it means the prices for almost all Wiggy products will not change. But they will for one product, the BACKPACKER model bag. I continue to pass my savings on materials to my customers.
I am offering this bag in three colors; dark grey, burgundy and royal blue starting now and into the summer for as long as the material lasts. With the bag will come the free sleep socks, pillow, and compression stuff sack. I think the top-down model can make this bag into a pancake. The price is $140.00.
If you order the royal blue, allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery as the material will not be shipped to me until next week.
People who expect to look for lightweight summer sleeping bags will have to wait until the retailers normally get their spring orders that were ordered last summer in their store in March at the earliest. Of course, whatever they receive will have been produced most likely in China with chemically laden materials. These bags, not sleeping bags, will also have chopped staple fiberfill stuffed in them. I have detailed in the past all the problematic problems with them; don’t keep you warm, cannot be laundered and of course subject you to chemicals in the materials to name a few.
These Backpacker sleeping bags are temperature rated from plus 30 degrees and higher. Like all Wiggy bags they are oblivious to moisture, can be stuffed and unstuffed hundreds of times without damage and left stuffed for who knows how long [both Lamilite’ s used in the Backpacker L-6 and L-12 are used in numerous products we vacuum packed for the Airforce survival kits] so you know they are extremely resilient. The Airforce testing of survival suits made with L-6 performed to – 60. On the home page listed is a link to the Airforce test of the L-6 suit, title is “A FANTASTIC TEST”. I do not suggest you try this bag at -60.
I have had the opportunity to make these fabric purchases for the past 3 years, so I have been able to keep my prices as they are for the last 3 years and now for a fourth year.
So, if you are thinking about warm weather camping you now know that you can obtain the most efficient warm weather sleeping bag made. The BACKPACKER!!!
