I AM EXCITED

Good morning,

I felt as though wearing your clothes for so many years I should take the time to thank you for the time spent outdoors and not being cold.

I am in central Illinois and while the winters are not exceptionally brutal, your clothes have made them more than bearable.

First off, the liner jacket. When the weather turns cold these become my jacket. When it really gets cold, they are underneath whatever I am using for an overcoat.

Second is the fishnet bottoms. I first purchased these in December of 2016. These were more of a "no way they work" thing and could not have been any more wrong. Since buying the first set I have not worn anything besides pants over them. No Carhart bibs anymore. Since then, I have added more pairs. My adult boys wear them also.

Third is the leather boots. I know you don’t offer these anymore and it is nothing short of a testimony to the excellence of your insulation and a condemnation to all the boot manufacturers that refuse to use it. These are the best boots I have ever owned. No cold feet.

Fourth is the socks. The socks make any pair of shoes cold weather capable. Period.

Fifth is the mittens. Regardless of what I am doing outside in the dead of winter the mittens are on. Never had cold hands since using them. Does not matter if it is time on the trapline or working outside they are the best.

Lastly, the sleeping bags. While I do not spend too many nights outdoors, they are incredible. I don’t sweat in them and have never been cold. My first time using it was in Canada, and I can still remember everyone else complaining that they were not getting any sleep due to being cold.

I am amazed at all the companies making cold weather clothing.

I don't need to try any of it because of you.

Thank you for making the absolute best cold weather gear on the planet. I recommend you to everyone.

I am excited about the fact that people over the years that I have been in business who have been using the various insulated products I have been making take the time to write to me about how well they work.

At this stage of my life to be excited about what I have been doing all my life is incredible. During the years that I sailed in the south Florida I saw old men in their mid-60’s and older vegetating and I knew I would not do the same. I did not then know how lucky I would be because as the outdoor industry condensed there was, and it exists today any company wanting to buy Wiggy’s, so I kept doing what I loved, and it is my retirement so to speak. And because letters like Tony’s coming almost daily, I am excited in the morning to come to work.

I suppose there are people in my age category that are just happy to get up each morning.

Tony mentions Carhart, I wonder if they get letters like those I receive and if they did who would get to read them, there is a benefit to being the owner. Wiggy’s has been a blessing in disguise the fact that no one wants to buy me.

In the past when I became conscious of how other companies were marketing their sleeping bags [of course we now know they were and still are no sleep sleeping bags] I realized they were stepchildren to them because they were more interested in making their clothing products. Their philosophy was people who buy a jacket may never buy a sleeping bag and there are certainly more people buying jackets than sleeping bags, so they were/are sold as lose leader products. They also concentrated on light weight warm weather bags. If you went into a camping shop in the winter, whatever they had in sleeping bag stock was warm weather because they were more interested selling ski wear. It was at this time of year Wiggy’s became the bag of choice.

They did not know that winter sleeping bags were a very desirable product and they still are.

Enough history, the result is and has been for several years Wiggy sleeping bags sales are year-round sold products, but so are our parkas, fishnet underwear and most certainly our waders.

If any of the conglomerates of the industry look at Wiggy’s they would have to keep the production in the USA which they obviously wouldn’t do so I am here until who knows when.

Getting up each morning is exciting for me and having a new partner, Missy makes it better.
