THEY KEEP GETTING BETTER
I almost always sleep in a tent in the winter. Camp about every weekend. Last two weeks decided to sleep in the SUV. This allowed me to camp in some remote areas. Both were very exposed. It was well below zero F, with wind chills that were deadly. I used your Antarctica and over bag. I was so warm in that thing. If I was in a situation where my vehicle broke down in that weather, I really don’t know how long one would last without that bag. Wool blankets, etc. wouldn’t have cut it. That sleeping bag would save lives in that situation would make the situation comfortable.
Thanks
Doug
Doug,
Many thanks for the story.
Over these many years I cannot tell you the number of customers I have served with these cold weather sleeping bags to keep in their vehicle for use in an emergency.
I have also been the recipient of orders from long haul truckers who have sleeping cabins that may not have adequate heat if they are stuck.
Those who carry my sleeping bags also include private pilots in Alaska, that are not vacuum packed as we do for the Airforce.
However, we have received orders from private companies for the arctic bags vacuum packed where they work in cold environments.
When I first started making sleeping bags, I never thought of the need for preparedness as time has shown me it is necessary.
We do get individuals buying bags that are distributed in areas where natural disasters have happened.
Sleeping bags have now shown that they are almost a necessity.
