Description

The Wiggy's FTRSS Overbag is a +35°F mummy sleeping bag you can use alone in warm weather or slip over any of our mummy bags to build a Flexible Temperature Rated Sleep System (FTRSS).

  • Two bags in one system. On its own it's a roomy warm-weather bag. Over a core bag, it adds about 40°F of protection.
  • Cut a little bigger. It's sized up so it fits comfortably over any of our other bags.
  • Warm when damp. Lamilite keeps insulating when it gets damp and dries fast.

Sizes (length x width, weight):

Questions

FTRSS Overbag +35°F Mummy Sleeping Bag FAQ

What does FTRSS stand for?

Flexible Temperature Rated Sleep System. You zip a core bag inside this overbag to reach a much colder rating than either bag alone.

Why is the overbag bigger than my core bag?

It's cut slightly larger so it fits comfortably over any of our other bags. A roomier bag also works better on warm nights.

How much does it weigh?

Regular/Regular is 2.5 lbs, Regular/Wide is 2.75 lbs, and Long/Wide is 3 lbs.

Will it stay warm if it gets wet?

Lamilite is a continuous filament insulation that keeps insulating when it gets damp, and it dries fast.

Is it covered by a warranty?

Yes. It's covered by the Wiggy's Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser.

What every Wiggy's has in common

One insulation. Everything we make.

Most bags stitch right through their insulation. Every seam is a cold spot. Wiggy's Lamilite is one continuous layer with nothing stitched through it. It breathes, keeps working when it gets damp, and dries fast.

  • For families: no cold spots, so everyone sleeps warm.
  • In the field: keeps insulating when it's wet.
  • For programs: in service for decades, not seasons.
  • At the edge of the map: rated to -60°F.
Why Lamilite works
Most bags: stitched throughEvery seam pinches the insulation flat. That's where the cold gets in.
