Description

Wiggy's Mukluks are our warmest footwear: an L-12 Lamilite insulated over-boot for extreme cold. Worn over any insulated boot, they keep your feet warm for hours at -70°F and colder if you are otherwise properly dressed.

  • Built from Alaska know-how. In 1992, Joe Redington, the Father of the Iditarod, asked our founder Jerry Wigutow to make his style of mukluk. We added Lamilite.
  • Easy on and off. Now with a rear entry design, like our Overboots.
  • Tough, grippy sole. 3/8 in closed cell foam between two layers of Cordura, with a rubber gripper sole.
  • Protects steel toes. Keeps steel-toed boots from getting cold in extreme conditions.

The exterior is waterproofed. They stand 18 1/2 in high, weigh 1.75 lbs per boot in Large, and can be laundered. Great for mushing, ice fishing, deer stands, and duck blinds.

What every Wiggy's has in common

One insulation. Everything we make.

Most bags stitch right through their insulation. Every seam is a cold spot. Wiggy's Lamilite is one continuous layer with nothing stitched through it. It breathes, keeps working when it gets damp, and dries fast.

  • For families: no cold spots, so everyone sleeps warm.
  • In the field: keeps insulating when it's wet.
  • For programs: in service for decades, not seasons.
  • At the edge of the map: rated to -60°F.
Why Lamilite works
Most bags: stitched throughEvery seam pinches the insulation flat. That's where the cold gets in.
