Description

The Wiggy's Supplex Antarctic Parka is our warmest parka, made for people who live and work in extreme cold. It is insulated with L-12 Lamilite, the same insulation in our Ultra Light sleeping bag.

  • Tested in the far north. In 1989 and 1990 we made parkas for North Slope oil field workers, the Alaska State police, the Barrow police department, and LTR Training Systems in Anchorage. They wore them in air temperatures as low as -80°F.
  • Light for its warmth. A size Large weighs 3 lbs.
  • Built to seal out cold. Set-in wristlets, a full-length hook and loop closure along the zipper, and a fingertip length cut.
  • Zipper you can trust. A two-way molded tooth zipper, the same as our sleeping bags, proven to work at -100°F.
  • Room to carry. Large cargo and hand warmer pockets outside, plus large inside cargo pockets.

Machine washable and dryable. Sizes Small to 3X-Large. Made in Colorado, USA.

What every Wiggy's has in common

One insulation. Everything we make.

Most bags stitch right through their insulation. Every seam is a cold spot. Wiggy's Lamilite is one continuous layer with nothing stitched through it. It breathes, keeps working when it gets damp, and dries fast.

  • For families: no cold spots, so everyone sleeps warm.
  • In the field: keeps insulating when it's wet.
  • For programs: in service for decades, not seasons.
  • At the edge of the map: rated to -60°F.
Why Lamilite works
Most bags: stitched throughEvery seam pinches the insulation flat. That's where the cold gets in.
