Nautilus +35°F Rectangular FTRSS Overbag with Hood FAQ
How warm is the Nautilus Overbag?
By itself it's a +35°F summer weight bag. Combined with a Hunter with Hood core bag, it lowers the rating by about 40°F.
Which bags does the Nautilus fit?
It's designed to go over any of the Hunter with Hood (rectangular) core bags. A second row of zippers holds the core bag in place.
Can I zip two of these together?
Yes. Two bags with 118 inch zippers can be mated: unzip both, lay one lining up, put the other on top lining down, and zip them together. With two hooded Hunter bags, one person ends up with the hood under their head and the other has it in front of their face.
What comes with it?
A compression stuff sack and a pillow are included.

Every piece is built in our own shop.
Built once. Used for decades.
One insulation. Everything we make.
Most bags stitch right through their insulation. Every seam is a cold spot. Wiggy's Lamilite is one continuous layer with nothing stitched through it. It breathes, keeps working when it gets damp, and dries fast.
- For families: no cold spots, so everyone sleeps warm.
- In the field: keeps insulating when it's wet.
- For programs: in service for decades, not seasons.
- At the edge of the map: rated to -60°F.
